  • Look Inside

We reviewed 40 cases with so-called chronic disseminated equatorial choroiditis from the fore-going 6-year period. Reportedly, this condition is characterized by prevalence among presenile and senile females, bilaterality, presence of numerous exudatative patches along the equator, mild toabsent anterior chamber involvement, and chronic course.

We observed, in the present series, bilateral hylar lymph node hyperplasia (BHL) in 28% of the cases and elevation of serum angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) in 33%. The ocular manifestations in the present series seemed to be a peculiar instance of ocular sarcoidosis.
