エリスロマイシン・コリスチン点眼液の基礎的検討

Basic studies on Ecolicin®eye drops

（1）現在眼科領域で最も広く使われている抗生物質の一つであるエリスロマイシン・コリスチン（エコリシン®）点限液について，従来行われていなかった基礎的な検討を加えた。

（2）本剤を1日9回5日間家兎に点眼した後，角膜表層を走査型電子顕微鏡で検査した結果，エコリシン®）点眼液は角膜表層に何らの障害をもおこさないことを確認した。

（3）エコリシン®）の点眼は動物において，ムチン添加法によって接種した強力な緑膿菌感染に対しても，完全な発症阻止効果があることを認めた。

Ecolicin® eye drops are a mixture of erythromy-cin and colistin, and have widely been used in Japan since 1970. The criteria to approve eye drops for marketing at that time were not so severeas those today and some basic studies as required recently have not yet been done on Ecolicin® eye drops. Therefore we carried out the following basic experiments on Ecolicin® eye drops.

( 1 ) Effect on the rabbit cornea : Ecolicin® eye drops were instilled into rabbit corneas 9 times a day for 5 days. No clinical changes were observed by slit lamp examination.
