The authors examined 21 cases of so called "Ekiri" and the followings were obtained.

1) The disease is very drastic and the course is very short. Prognosis is decided in a day. Ophthalmoscopic findings is affected great deal to the phases of the disease.

2) At first, tortousity and dilatation on the veins is observed. These changes are most dis-tinctive on V. temporalis inferior.

3) Oedem on the retina is observed on severe cases. But oedem decides not always the se-verity of "Ekiri".

4) Ophthalmodynamometry gives fairly reliable guide to consider the prognosis.
