Penetration of Lincomycin into Tissues of Rabbit Eye (Report III):Clindamycin

I．緒言

　Clindamycin （以下CLM）（7—Chloro−7—deoxy—lincomycin）はLincomycin （以下LCM）の誘導体で，LCM同様アメリカのUpjohn研究所で開発された新しい抗生剤である。抗菌スペクトルはグラム陽性球菌の主体であることはLCMと同様であるが，抗菌力においては数倍まさるし，吸収，排泄においても良好なことが知られている。本剤と蛋白との結合率はLCMよりやや高いが，不活性化は少なく，肝マイクロゾームによる不活性化もLCMより少ない。水にはきわめて溶け易く，分子量は約480である。

　私は本剤の眼内移行については実験したのでここに発表する。

Investigation for the penetration of Clinda-mycin (CLM) into the tissues of rabbit eye was performed. And follwing results were obtained.

1) The instillation of 1 % CLM-Solution, 5 times every 5 minutes, resulted in concentra-tion of 0.7~5.0 mcg/ml-CLM in the aqueous humour during 1~6 hours. The concentration was proved merely in the tissues of the ante-rior segment of the eye, especially in cornea.

2) Subconjunctival injection of 5 mg/0.5ml-CLM revealed high level of the aqueous hu-mour (22.1 mcg/ml) after 1/2 hour.
