HOD—27（メチル—B12）の眼科的応用

Use of Methyl-Vitamin B12(HOD-27) in Ophthalmology

I．緒言

　VB₁₂も，CN-B₁₂よりOH-B₁₂，補酵素型B₁₂と種々進歩した製剤が出現してるが，今回，さらに優秀な製剤と考えられる補酵素型VB₁₂のメチル化類似体であるメチル−B₁₂（5,6—dimethylbe—nzimidozolyl cobamide methyl）の眼科領域における治験を経験できたので，ここに報告する。

A clinical appraisal was conducted over the possible beneficial effect of methylated vitamin B₁₂(HOD 27) (5,6-dimethylbenzimidazolyl co-bamide methyl). Patients were given the pre-paration at the dosis of 300mcg/day in 3 divi-ded dosis as capsules. The treated cases consi-sted of periorbital neuralgia, asthenopia, herpe-tic keratitis, diffuse superficial keratitis, central serous retinitis, demyelinating optic neuropathi-es and diabetic retinopathies. The clinical out-come was favorable and was roughly compara-ble with the hitherto available vitamin B₁₂ pre-parations.
