  • Look Inside

Twenty-nine lesions of toxoplasmic retino-choroiditis, of which 6 lesions were acutely active, 9 subacutely active and 14 inactive, were examined by fluorescein fundus photo-graphy. The results could prove useful in eva-luating the different stages of the disease.

1. The acutely active stage of the disease : Fluorescein appeared corresponding to the lesion which was observed by ophthalmoscopy and continued to enlarge showing vague margins.

2. The subacutely active stage : The center of the lesion seen ophthalmoscopically was dark in the angiographic phase (the so-called "schwarzes Zentrum").
