Results of Peripheral Iridectomy with Scleral Cautery after Scheie/I. Primary and Secondary Glaucoma II. Congenital and Juvenile Gtlaucoma

I．緒言

　1958年Scheieが新しい濾過手術として強膜焼灼を併用する虹彩周辺切除術Peripheral Iride—ctomy with Scleral Cauteryを発表して以来，Scheie's Procedureとして米国においては広く用いられている。

　私共は1962年その追試成績を報告した。最近わが国においても新しい手術として広く試みられるようになり，手術成績に関する報告がみられるようになつた。

The results of peripheral iridectomy with scleral cautery performed on 156 eyes with various types of glaucoma were presented.

The cases consisted of 11 eyes with glau-coma prodromale, 8 eyes with acute closed-angle glaucoma, 70 eyes with chronic closed-angle glaucoma, 26 eyes with glaucoma sim-plex and 41 eyes with glaucoma secundarium.

1) The intraocular pressure (i.o.p.) was con-trolled in 85.2% of the primary glaucoma and in 53.6% of the secondary glaucoma.
