教室におけるScheie濾過手術例

Statistical Observation of Modified Scheie's Procedures in Our Clinic

I．まえがき

　著者の一人百々がScheie濾過手術の原法を修正し，6例7眼^1）の臨床例と共に追試報告^2）したのは1958年の臨床眼科学会である。以来，1964年まで，この修正方式（焼灼をジアテルミー凝固に変更に）より実施してきた手術例が69眼に及ぶので，統計的観察をおこなうと同時に，本術式の長短所，改良すべき点，適応症について言及しようと思う。

An appraisal is presented over the effects of modified Scheie's procedure for glaucoma based on 69 cases from 1958 to 1964. The modified surgical procedure, which was re-ported by Dodo in 1958, consists in retraction of the scleral wound edge by diathermy coa-gulation with needle electrode instead of the original cautery.

Favourable hypotensive effect resulted more often in narrow-open than wide-open angle gl-aucoma cases. The results were generally bet-ter when used as primary operation than as a secondary one.
