網膜静脈血栓症の全身合併症について

Systemic complications in retinal vein thrombosis

I．緒言

　網膜出血はいろいろな形でいろいろの全身疾患に際して現われるものであるが，私共の日常しばしば見るものは網膜静脈血栓症の形のものである。

　本症もいろいろの原因で起るけれども，日常最も多いものは高血圧，動脈硬化によるものである。本症は高血圧，動脈硬化による血管障害，特に脳血管障害とは同じ脳血管の分枝に起る点で関連性があつて興味がある。

Statistical studies on systemic complications were performed in retinal vein thrombosis.

1) Complication of essential hypertension was found in 116 cases (38.5%), arterioscler-osis in 54 cases (18.0%), chronic glomerulo-nephritis in 13 cases (4.3%), diabetes mellitus in 8 cases (2.7%) and toxemia of pregnancy in 2 cases (0.7%).

In consequence, essential hypertension and arteriosclerosis were considered to be the most important complications of the retinal vein thrombosis.
