Abstract. Purpose:To report a case of optic disc vasculitis with positive anticardiolipin antibody. Case:A 31-year-old woman presented with blurring in her left eye since one week before. Her corrected visual acuity was 1.5 in either eye. Her left eye showed impending central retinal vein occlusion with vasculitis of the optic disc. The findings normalized after 3 weeks of peroral prednisolone. Laboratory studies showed positive anticardiolipin antibody, negative anti-β2 glycoproteinⅠantibody, and negative lupus anticoagulant. Conclusion:This case failed to fulfill the diagnostic criteria for antiphospholipid syndrome. Still, there is a possibility for the ocular lesion to be related with a similar disorder of the anto-immune system.
