Purpose:To report a case of kabuki make-up syndrome. Case:A 16-year-old male presented with blurring of vision in both eyes. He had been diagnosed with kabuki make-up syndrome based on peculiar physignomy and impaired muscular power. Findings:His visual acuity was 0.2(0.6×-6.0D)in either eye. He showed long palpebral fissure, ectropion of outer lid margins,high-arched eyebrows, and finger-tip pads. There were no abnormalities in the anterior chamber, optic media,or ocular fundus. Chromosome analysis showed normal findings. During the follow-up for 4 years, there was no change in refraction or visual acuity. Conclusion:The cause of impaired visual acuity could not be identified. There is a possibility that impaired visual acuity is one of the manifestations of kabuki make-up syndrome.
