  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

A 27-year-old woman presented with photopsia in her left eye since the day before. Her corrected visual acuity was 1.5 right and 1.0 left. Her left eye showed peripapillary edema surrounded by a few white dots. Fluorescein angiography showed filling delay in the peripapillary choroid. She was treated by pulsed corticosteroid under the tentative diagnosis of Harada disease. Peripapillary edema and white dots disappeared on day 2 of treatment, leading to the diagnosis of multiple evanescent white dot syndrome(MEWDS). There is a possibility that enlarged blind spot in this syndrome is caused by disturbed chorodial circulation.
