　横浜市にある2眼科施設において，1年間にコンタクトレンズ（CL）使用者55,056人を解析した。男性が41.6％，女性が58.4％であり，平均年齢は28.8±10.0歳であった。コンタクトレンズの種類は，ソフトCLが16.5％，ハードCLが9.2％，頻回交換型CLが48.0％，使い捨てソフトCLが26.4％であった。ソフト系CLと同時に購入されたケア用品は，過酸化水素水消毒液が多かった。1日使い捨てソフトCLと同時にケア用品を求めた人は3,052人もおり，より適切な指導が必要であると判断された。

　We reviewed 55,056 contact lens（CL）users in two affiliated eye clinics in Yokohama over a 12-month period. The series comprised 41.6％males and 58.4％females. The ages averaged 28.8±10.0 years. The prescribed CL's were composed of：soft CL's 16.5％,hard CL's 9.2％,frequent replacement soft CL's 48.0％,and disposable soft CL's 26.4％. Among treatment products for soft CL's,hydrogen peroxide sterilizer was the most frequently purchased item. Treatment products were purchased in conjunction with the lenses by 3,052 of the daily disposable soft CL users. The results suggested the need for heath care practitioners to provide clearer instructions on contact lens use.
