要約　目的：CO₂レーザーによる下眼瞼の加齢内反症の治療報告。対象：過去5年間にレーザーで治療した下眼瞼に加齢内反症がある28例33眼を対象とした。男性17例，女性11例であり，年齢は59～90歳（平均76歳）であった。方法：CO₂レーザーで下眼瞼縁から2mm下方で皮膚を10mm眼瞼縁に平行に切開し，眼輪筋を10×4mmの大きさで剝離した。症例に応じて眼輪筋を4～8mm短縮し，必要な場合は余剰な皮膚を切除した。結果：手術には約10分を要し，ほとんど出血がなく，術後の腫脹も少なかった。全例で眼瞼内反が改善した。結論：CO₂レーザーによる下眼瞼の加齢内反症の治療は，侵襲が小さく確実な手術野が得られ有効である。

Abstract.　Purpose：To report the therapeutic outcome of senile entropion of the lower eyelid by carbon dioxide laser. Case：This retrospective study was made on 33 eyes of 28 patients. The series comprised 17 males and 11 females. The age ranged from 59 to 90 years, average 76 years. Method：The skin was incised for 10mm at the distance by 2mm from the lower eyelid margin. The orbicularis muscle, 4mm by 10mm in size, was separated from the surrounding tissue. It was shortened, when necessary, by 4 to 8mm. The redundant skin was excised. Results：Entropion improved in all the eyes. One session lasted for about 10 minutes without hemorrhage during or swelling after surgery. Conclusion：Use of carbon dioxide laser is effective, minimally invasive and allows sufficient surgical field in the treatment of senile entropion of the lower eyelid.
