高気圧酸素療法施行後に視力改善をみた網膜静脈閉塞症のOCT所見

Improved visual acuity following hyperbaric oxygenation for branch or central retinal vein occlusion:Observation by optical coherence tomography

　高気圧酸素療法（hyperbaric oxygenation：HBO）を施行し，視力の改善をみた網膜静脈閉塞症の3例について光干渉断層計（optical coherence tomography：OCT）を用いてHBO施行前後での黄斑浮腫の変化を比較した。1例はHBO施行後に明らかな浮腫の軽減が認められたが，2例では浮腫の軽減はわずかであり，HBOの奏効機序としては浮腫の軽減だけではなく，網膜虚血細胞への直接的な作用も視力改善に関与している可能性も考えられた。

Hyperbaric oxygenation induced improvement in visual acuity in one eye of central and 2 eyes of branch retinal vein occlusion. All the 3 eyes received the treatment within 3months after onset. All the eyes had macular edema. An optical coherence tomography（OCT）was used to evaluate the macular edema before and after treatment. After treatment,the macular edema decreased in one eye. It remained unchanged in the other 2 eyes. Hyperbaric oxygenation seemed to have improved the visual acuity not only by reducing the macular edema but also by directly affecting the ishcemic retinal cells.
