Abstract. Purpose:To report the outcome of treatment in ten cases of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue(MALT)lymphoma of ocular adnexa. Cases and Method:This retrospective study was made on 10 cases of MALT lymphoma of ocular adnexa seen during the past 5 years. Results:The series comprised 5 males and 5 females. The age ranged from 35 to 72 years, average 58 years. The tumor was localized in the eye or the orbit in all the cases. It was bilateral in 6 cases and unilateral in 4. The tumor was present in the conjunctiva in 6 cases and in the orbital connective tissue in 4. Eight cases were treated by radiation and 3 cases received systemic rituximab. The dosis of radiation totaled 32 to 38 Gy in the eye region. After follow-up for 6 to 48 months, average 26 months, the tumor regressed in all the treated cases with no recurrence. Conclusion:Radiotherapy is effective for MALT lymphoma of the ocular adnexa.
