  • Look Inside

Coronary sinus blood flow (CSF) was measured by means of continuous thermodilution method in human non-diseased hearts, and was compared with coronary blood flow in other conventional methods. In human non-diseased hearts, mean CSF was 153±15ml/min, CSF per left ventricular mass (100g LV) was 106±15ml/min/100gLV and CSF per beat was 1.53±0.28 ml/beat/100g LV. Myocardial oxygen consumption (MVO2) was 14.4±1.7, MVO2/100 gLV was 10.0±1.7ml/min/100gLV and MVO2/ 100gLV/beat was 0.16±0.03ml/beat/100gLV. The relationship between CSF or MVO2 and peak wall stress (Stress) was significant.
