要旨

　高齢消化管癌患者のサルコペニアの早期発見および早期介入は，がん治療成績を向上させるための重要な鍵となる。そのため，治療前に骨格筋量の評価を適切に行うと同時に，身体活動の評価およびその脆弱性や活動性に応じた運動療法などのアプローチを提供することが重要となる。

　Early detection and intervention of sarcopenia in elderly patients with gastrointestinal cancer are key to improving cancer treatment outcomes. It is therefore important to assess skeletal muscle mass appropriately prior to treatment and provide approaches such as exercise therapy tailored to the patient’s physical activity level and degree of frailty.
