Scientific writing

scientific writingは，科学における知見を広め，伝える手段の1つである。科学は他者に（読者に）理解されることで意味が生じる。優れたscientific writingとは，明確，簡潔，シンプル，かつ読みやすい文章を，手順にのっとって作成することである。本稿ではscientific writingの手順を述べるとともに，英語でscientific writingを行う際の秘訣やヒント，またknowledge translationにおいても非常に重要な構成要素となるレイサマリーの作成方法について説明する。

Scientific writing is a clear and effective way to communicate new knowledge from a study to a wide audience. The manner of disseminating a new scientific finding is a significant matter because the scientific finding is useless unless people understand or use it. For successful scientific writing, we should write it in an organized way, and as clearly, precisely, and economically as possible. We will describe i） an effective method for scientific writing, ii） tips for writing in English for non-native English users, and iii） a lay summary which plays a key role in knowledge translation.
