I．はじめに

　外耳道の異物にはさまざまなものがあるが，最近補聴器のイヤーモールド（earmold）の型どりをする印象剤が外耳道に嵌頓し異物となった2症例を経験した。型どりはいずれも補聴器の販売員により行われたものである。印象剤の除去はかなりの困難を伴い，印象剤充填による損傷のほか除去にさいしても外耳道，鼓膜などを損傷する可能性がある。ここに症例を報告する。

　Two cases with a foreign body of impression material introduced into the external auditory canal for hearing aid were reported.

　Case 1. a 75-year-old male.

　Silicone material was injected into the left ear for the purpose of obtaining prototype of earmold. Removal of polymerized silicone was extremely difficult because he had a large cavity after ear surgery.

　Case 2. a 59-year-old male.

　Silicone completely filled the external canal up to the eardrum. He had experienced earache and dizziness after injection of the material which was removed under general anesthesia. The eardrum showed a perforation, and the canal skin was eroded.
