I．緒言

　上顎に嚢胞を形成し，頬部，歯槽突起，口蓋などに腫脹をきたす疾患はいろいろあるが，これらの中には胎生期顔面形成時の遺残上皮より生ずる嚢胞，すなわち正中顔裂嚢胞，球状上顎嚢胞，鼻前庭嚢胞，鼻口蓋嚢胞などが稀ながら存在する。最近われわれは，鼻口蓋嚢胞の1例を経験したので，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

　A rare case of nasopalatine cyst in a 63-year-old male is reported. A large swelling in the middle portion of the hard palate was found and x-ray examinations showed an incisive canal cyst.

　The cyst was extirpated with palatal approach, then the palatal mucosa was pressed toward the dead space and the drainage on the floor of the nasal cavity was made. The post-operative course was excellent and no recurrence was seen till the time of report. The authors reviewed the literature of nasopalatine cyst and discussed especially its differential diagnosis and operative procedures.
