　I．緒言

　外鼻および鼻腔にみられる良性腫瘍はその発生頻度こそ少ないが，種類は多く教科書にある良性腫瘍の殆どすべてを網羅しているといつてもよい程である。しかしこの部位における筋腫，特に平滑筋腫は非常に稀であり，1868年Erdmannが鼻根部に発生した症例を発表して以来その報告も少なく，特に本邦においては，われわれが調べ得た範囲で文献上8例をみるにすぎない。最近われわれは鼻前庭部正中に発生した症例を経験したので報告する。

　A case of nasal leiomyoma in a woman, aged 55, is reported.

　Tumors originating from smooth muscles are decidedly unusual in the nose. In review of the literature, 8 cases of leiomyoma in this region are previously reported in this country.

　A spherical tumor the size of the thumb tip was found in the midline of the nasal vestibule. Pathological examination revealed a vascular leiomyoma which originated from the smooth muscle structures of the blood vessel.

　The growth was successfully removed under general anesthesia. The postoperative course was uneventful ; no sign of recurrence is noted one year after the operation.
