　I．はじめに

　鼻・副鼻腔および口腔に発生する悪性黒色腫の報告は比較的少なく，他の悪性腫瘍に比べると発生頻度はきわめて稀であり，鼻腔悪性黒色腫はRavid^1）によれば1869年，52歳の男性より発生した例がLückeによつて，はじめて報告されたとしており，口腔悪性黒色腫に関しては，1859年Webcrによつて最初に記載されたという（Chaudhry^10））。著者は近年4例の悪性黒色腫を経験し，1例に剖検する機会を得たのでここに報告すると同時に当教室で経験した15例（第1表）に若干の検討を加えて報告する。

　Four cases of malignant melanoma of the oral and paranasal cavity are reported along with 15 other similar cases observed at the ENT Department of the Shinshu University Medical School.

　These tumors appeared to have a predilection of occurring on the septum and the roof of the mouth.

　By sexual difference, there appeared to be none for those occurring in the nasal area but for the oral, there were twice as many involvements among the males as compared to females.

　Repeated epistaxis and nasal respiratory impairments appeared to the outstanding symptoms. In the oral area the tumor may progress unnoticed until it reaches a considerable size. Any discoloration occurring on the mucous membrane of the mouth should be placed under careful, continued observation.

　Surgery is the treatment of choice.
