　I．緒言

　化学療法・術前照射・手術の三者併用療法を目的として入院した上顎癌＋糖尿病の患者で術前加療中に突然死亡した症例を経験したので，その臨床経過および剖検所見をあわせて報告し，糖尿病を有する頭頸部腫瘍患者の治療上の問題について考察した。

　A patient affected with maxillary cancer complicated by diabetes mellitus came into our hospital for the purpose of obtaining drug therapy,irradiation and surgical treatment, suddenly died during the course of treatments. For patients of this nature complicated by diabetes the triad of treatment, drugs, surgical and irradiation forms a very important venue of attack but the pathological picture becomes quite complicated. Recently cases of this type seems to be increased in number. And it behooves us rhinolaryngologists to study this complication in a greater detail.
