　I．緒言

　頭頸部悪性腫瘍も全身的な疾病であり治療における患者の全身管理は重要なことである。

　著者らはさきに頭頸部悪性腫瘍症例において患者血清コリンエステラーゼ値の変動が患者の全身状態の推移経過を的確に表現しうると発表したが，さらに悪性腫瘍悪液質を表現しその指標となりうる因子を検索したのでその成績を報告する。

　The authors have previously reported that the changes in the amount of cholinesterase in the blood serum of the patient suffering from the head and neck malignancy may well prognosticate the general physical condition of the patient. They have further investigated the method by which the index of the discharge produced by the malignancy may be expressed.

　They have, furthermore, made studies of the rate of blood sedimentation, the amount of blood protein, the proportion between A/G ; ChE, LDH, AlPh and Ca indices. With these tests of ChE index and the proportion of A/C, along with those of initial screening tests, the general progress of the patient may well be prognosticated.
