　I．緒言

　類皮嚢胞（dermoid cyst）の大部分は，外胚葉の嵌入によつて生ずる先天性嚢胞であり，全身各部に発生する。頭頸部における発生頻度は，約7％といわれている。文献学的に，眼窩，鼻，口腔底，顎下部の報告はみられるが，最近われわれは，右頬骨に発生した類表皮嚢胞（epidermoid cyst）の1例を経験したので，以下に報告する。

　Dermoid cysts may be found in all parts of the body. Those that appear on the head and neck range about 7%.

　Recently we experienced a case of dermoid cyst of the malar bone, with which the patient suffered with a swollen face for a considerable time until he reached the age of 70, and at this point maxillary cancer was suspected for the first time. The operation revealed a bony dehiscence at the anterior surface of the malar bone measuring approximately 4 mm in width and the cyst was multilobular in formation.
