　Ⅰ．緒言

　わが国における花粉症^1）2）研究の歴史は浅く，欧米に比較すると，かなり遅れて出発しているが，近年，ブタクサ，スギ，イネ科，カナムグラ，ヨモギ，コナラ，てん菜，しらかば花粉症が次々と報告され，日本においても花粉症の体系化が次第になされる状況にある。

　これら花粉症のうち，イネ科の植物による花粉症は信太^3）4）らが，最初「牧草花粉症」として報告したが，牧草では家畜のためだけに限られその他の雑草化した草を含まないので，その後にこれを訂正し，適切な邦訳がないまま，現在はgrass pollinosis（以下GPと略）として使つているのにならい，著者も以下GPとして記載する。

　最近，横浜においても，種々のアレルギー学的検索からGPと考えられた8症例を発見したので，うち1症例を詳述し，文献的考察をあわせ報告する。

　Pollinosis in Japan is not so well demarked as in some parts of the United States where it is divided into tree season and grass season. But, during similar season in this country, also, the air is found to be laden with increase of pollens.

　The first report on clinical study on grass pollinosis due to the orchard grass was made by Sugita, in 1964. Since then, in 1968, Shida reported 40 cases of grass pollinosis from Sapporo, Hokkaido. Whether or not that this report was consisdered as an isolated case, no other report has been seen since.

　The author reports a case of grass pollinosis found in Yokohama area with the results of a general survey conducted for air pollution in this area with grass pollens.
