　Ⅰ．緒言

　副鼻腔に発生する癌腫は上顎癌で代表されているごとく，そのほとんどが上顎洞に発生するもので他の副鼻腔に生じることはきわめて稀である。

　最近，おれわれは剖検で確かめ得た原発性前頭洞癌腫の1例を経験したので報告する。

A case of squamous cell carcinoma of frontal sinus in a woman, aged 77, is reported. She complained of swelling and tenderness of the left frontal region. On operation it was revealed that the left frontal sinus was filled with tumor and the posterior and inferior walls of the sinus were largely destroyed. The diagnosis of squa mous cell carcinoma was made histologically.

She was treated with drug therapy, but her general condition became worse and died 6 months after the operation.

Autopsy revealed the tumor infiltrated not only to the dura but also, to the brain tissues.Metastasis elsewhere to other organs was completely negative.
