　耳鳴研究の最終の目標は耳鳴患者を治すことである。著者は10数年来，耳鳴の分類法，検査法および臨床像について検索をすすめてきた。このつぎには耳鳴の成因を明らかにすることが治療法を確立する前提であろうが，そのためにはなお越えるべき幾多の難関がある。しかし耳鳴患者に対する治療は耳科医が毎日当面している緊急な問題である。したがつて成因はわからないながらも，現在におけるもつとも適切な治療法を見出してゆくことも必要なことである。本篇はこれからの耳鳴の治療法をいかに進めてゆくべきかを反省検討するために，まとめた成績について述べたものである。

　The author attempts to make an evaluation of the methods of treatment which he used in 1,327 cases of tinnitus aurium. The results arc as follow: 1) If the tinnitus aurium be caused by some conductive disturbance, the treatment directed to the ear proper would be highly effective.

　2) When the treatment is necessarily directed to areas other than the ear the tinnitus is generally nervous in origin.

　3) Circulatory stimulants should be administered not only in cases of tinnitus of nervous origin but also in other related ones.

　4) Metabolic stimulants alone are rather undependable in usage. They should be supplemented by other agents establishing inner ear circulatory improvements.

　5) Other agents may be also found that would be effectively used.
