　私ども耳鼻咽喉科医にとつて，咽頭部の腫瘍に接する機会はまれではないが，その大部分は咽頭原発のものであり，他部より進展してきたものであることははなはだまれである。私どもは咽頭部の腫瘍による咽頭狭窄感を主訴としてきた頭蓋底脊索腫の1例を経験したので，ここに報告して諸賢のご批判を仰ぎたい。

　A case of chordoma is reported. A woman, aged 66, complained of a choking sensation in the deeper portion of the right pharynx. Examination showed a tumor-like swelling in the pharynx extending from the above downwards. Head x-ray revealed a partial destruction of the sella turcica with a shaddow casted in the sphenoid sinus. Biopsy specimen was taken from the throat. A tenative diagnosis of craniopharyngeal tumor was made. Treatment with irradiation of Tele ⁶⁰Co was adopted and when 1,000γ were given, the patient died. The post mortem examination revealed a chordorna involving the sella turcica, sphenoid sinus and extending into the pharynx.
