鼓室成形術を不成功に導く要因について（その3）—耳骨連鎖をめぐつて

THE CAUSATIVE FACTORS LEADING TO FAILURE IN TYMPANOPLASTY

　鼓室成形術後において聴力が改善されなかつたり，聴力がかえつて悪化したりする場合がある。そして術後にこのように手術の目的を達しないのには，いろいろの因子があり，それらが合併して起こつていることも多い。しかして術後に聴力の改善されない因子として主なるものはつぎのようなものが考えられる。

　1．鼓膜に関連した問題

　2．耳骨連鎖の問題

　3．中耳腔形成の問題

　4．耳管に関連した問題

　5．内耳の問題

　したがつてこれらのすべてについて種々検討して，術後聴力が改善されない要因となりやすいものを除く方途を講じなければならない。そこでまず上記の因子について聴力改善をめぐつて分析を行なうために，第一に耳骨連鎖の問題を取り上げたのである。

　The author makes an attempt to list the causes of failure to gain recovery of hearing following tympanoplasty for the treatment of chronic otitis media. Particularly in the past, the attention of the investigators were centered around the question of how to preserve this middle ear ossicular articulation. But, there are other aspects to this important question such as that of pre-operative, operative and post-operative that must he considered.
