　Ⅰ．まえがき

　膠原病を思わせるような症例が，近年しだいにわが科領域にもみられるようになつてきた。最近われわれはPolychondritisと思われる比較的まれな1症例を経験したので，ここに報告し，類似疾患との鑑別診断や膠原病との関連についての参考資料にいたしたい。

　A case of polychondritis is reported. A woman, aged 24, complained of severe headache and ocular pain. The patient was operated for treatment of sinusitis; ocular involvement from the adjacent sinusitis was found to be negative. However, the patient fared exceedingly poor after the operation. The fever continued without abatement and the patient suffered cough and difficulty in breathing. The external feature of the nose became gradually saddled-in-shape. Steroids and antibiotic drugs were administered ; but, the patient developed scleritis. The degree of dyspnea became increased. Chondritis developed in the cartilage of the ear lobe and the thoracic ribs. The hearing became markedly impaired. In spite of further steroid drug administration the patient died. Other cases reported in the literature are discussed.
