I．はじめに
Relapsing polychondritisは全身の軟骨組織の系統的，多発性の炎症疾患で，しばしば眼症状と内耳症状を伴う比較的まれな疾患である。
今回われわれは急激な内耳障害を伴つたrelapsing Polychondritisの1例を経験したので報告するとともに，本症における聴，平衡障害について若干の考察を試みた。
A 57-year-old woman suffering from recurrent polychondritis was reported. Relapsing polychondritis was diagnosed through detailed histological examinations and clinical features. The patient had sudden onset of total hearing loss in both ears accompanied with tinnitus. Thereafter, she was complained of unsteady gait and jumbling of objects while shaking her head or walking. Neurotological examinations revealed bilateral complete loss of hearing and of vestibular function.
Audiovestibular disorders observed in the patient was discussed with relation to the underlying relapsing polychondritis.
