　Ⅰ．緒言

　Fibrous Dysplasia（線維性骨異栄養症）^1）はLichtensteinおよびJaffe^2）3）（1938，1942）によりはじめて独立疾患として記載された疾患であり，耳鼻咽喉科領域においては，われわれの捗猟し得た範囲では，欧米では15例，本邦では3例とその報告例はきめて少ない。われわれは左鼻腔内に見られたFibrous Dysplasiaの単骨型の一治験例を経験したのでここに先進諸家の症例に追加報告する。

　A male patient, aged 15, complained of exophthalmos of the left eye and nasal discharge serous in character. With a lateral incision the nasal cavity was exposed and a tumor, as large as the hen's egg, darkred in color and, cartilagenous in consistency, was removed. The tumor was found to inpinging pressure on the surrounding bony structures and appeared to be arising from the roof of the ethmoid cells. Microscopically it was recognized as fibrous dysplasia.
