I．緒言

　fibrous dysplasiaは若年層に比較的多くみられる骨原性の腫瘍性病変である。

　その成因については諸説があるが定説はない。

　A case of an extensive fibrous dysplasia with concomitant nasal papilloma in a 67-year-old male was reported.

　As surgical approaches, external frontal sinusectomy, lateral rhinotomy, Caldwell-Luc operation and endonasal surgery were done to obtain sufficient command over the extensive lesion.

　Patient's past history revealed eight nasal polypotomies since adolescence. Discussion on the possible mechanisms producing fibrous dysplasia was done.

　It was suggested that multiple polypotomies contributed to the minor but recurrent trauma to the ethmoid bone which was transformed to fibrous dysplasia.
