Abstract 文献概要

　われわれは頭頸部悪性腫瘍の転移についていくつかの報告^1）〜8）をしてきた。今回は上顎癌の転移について臨床例の検討を行ない，更に放射性金¹⁹⁸Auを用いたリンパ流の実験をした。その目的は，従来いわれるほど上顎癌の転移は少ないか，少ないとすればその理由は何か，上顎癌転移促進の要因は何か，転移部位の特異性は何か，転移をいかに処置すべきかなどの問題を明らかにすることである。

Preoperative diagnosis of maxillary cancer metastasis was 4.5%; the postoperative was 20.9%; remote metastasis was found in 5.2% of cases; metastasis to the opposite side, 3.7%.

Preoperative irradiation reduced incidence of metastasis; sinus operations performed before establishment of cancer diagnosis in-creased that incidence.

Metastasis in the neck from the maxillary cancer usually occurred in the submandible, the upper part of the neck and in the lymph nodes beneath the digastric muscles.
