いわゆる迷路梅毒の臨床的考擦

　Ⅰ．はじめに

　メマイ，耳鳴，難聴などを訴え，一口にメニエール症候群といわれているもののなかには，典型的メニエール病から脳腫瘍までの広い範囲を含む可能性があり，それら症候の初期における正確な診断が病気の予後を左右する重要な因子であることは，いま更，言をまたない。われわれもしばしば強調してきたところである^1）2）。

　一方，これらメマイを主訴とするものにたいしては，全例に血清梅毒反応をおこなうことを常としている。その結果は，メマイを訴えるもののなかで血清梅毒反応が陽性の症例が決して少なくないことに気がついた。

Twenty nine cases of vestibular syphilis that had been comparatively well investigated and collected during the recent two year pe-riod are reported from the Vestibular Clinic of the Otolaryngological Department of To-kyo University. Viewed from the point of vestibular function these cases were divided into 3 groups according to the character of the audiogram which each individual prese-nted. Tough all cases were affected with vestibular syphilis yet, difference was noted in the character of vertigo in each case ma-nifested by their response to thermal and rotatory stimulations. The question of dis-agreement in the results of the thermal and rotatory stimulations is discussed.
