Post-cricoid Cancerの2例

　Ⅰ．はじめに

　輪状軟骨の後部に原発するいわゆるPost-cricoid Cancerは，下咽頭癌のうちでも，その発見がおくれがちであることと，食道や喉頭などの近接臓器へ進展しやすく，また臨床的にも極めて悪性であることなどの理由から，我々にとつては，その診断と治療上の取り扱いが非常に困難な疾患の一つである。

　それは本疾患が遅かれ早かれ，いずれは直接頸部食道や，あるいは喉頭へも連続的に進展しやいために，喉頭摘出のみならず，Pharyngo-esophagectomyをも考慮しなければならず，そうなると，その後におこる下咽頭と食道の形成手術法がまた一つの問題になつてくるからである。

Post-cricoid cancer because of the ease with which it may involve the larynx proper and the upper esophagus is often mistakenly regarded either as cancer of larynx or that of esophagus. Literature of this country is. still meager with reports of post-cricoid cancers. Two cases of post-cricoid cancer are reported. In one case a woman, aged 42, was treated surgically; she is still alive at present 5 years after the operation. The second case a woman, aged 60, was treated by means of telecobalt irradiation for conservative method but the patient died within 1 year since the beginning of the treatment.
