嗅覚に関する研究—鼻疾患患者の異種嗅覚疲労に就て

　I．緒言

　一定の匂いを嗅いでいるうちに匂いがわからなくなる現象を，1886年E．Aronsohnは嗅覚疲労と名付けたが，その後H．Zwaardemakerはこれを分類して同種疲労（homonyme Ermüdung）と異種疲労（heteronyme Ermüdung）とに分けている。このうち同種疲労に関しては飯田，百合野等の研究があるが，先に我々の1人小松も正常者並びに鼻疾患患者に実験を行い，その成績及び諸知見を報告した（日耳鼻，63巻5号）。又異種疲労に就ては合馬，小室等が報告し，我々も正常者群実験成績とそれに基く見解は既に本誌上に発表したところであるが，今回は更に鼻疾患患者60名に同様の異種疲労実験を行い，若干の知見を得たので茲に報告し諸賢の御批判を仰ぎたいと思う。

Studies on the aspect of fatigue in the sense of smell were made on 60 selected pa-tients who were affected with various nasal diseases. As a related souree of smell essenses of strawberry and musk-melon were chosen; as a contrasted souree the essenses of peach and coffee which were readily recognized as being of different elements. For threshold smell the 4 agents were similar in results. Fatigue in the sense of smell was noted in the related smell but none when contrasted smelle we-e p esented. Results of these tests followed closely the results obtained in no mal persons with similar agents.
