　眩暈を主訴として，外来を訪れる患者は近時益益増加し近代病の様相を呈していることは周知の通りである。然し眩暈症という複雑な構成因子から成る症候群を分析しこれに対し適確な診療を加えることは容易ではない。

　そこで我々は先ず前庭機能検査の面から眩暈症の分析を試みてきた。その詳細はそれぞれの原著にゆずるが，大要を記述する。

An analysis of vertigo is examined withbasic consideration of vestibular functional test. Clinical cases of vertigo according to their manifestation of symptoms were divided into three different groups. A. B and C ; in all cases chondroitin sulfate were administered. The group A consisted of typical Meniere's disease whose pathological changes are consi-dered to be an edema of vestibular organs. The groups B and C were cases of what may be considered as pseudo-Meniere's disease. The effectiveness of chondroitin sulfate for the therapy of vertigo in all cases was 50%.
