　I．はしがき

　耳鼻咽喉科各疾患にたいし種々な抗生物質が使用され，抗生物質にたいする耐性菌の増加等の見地から治療上色々な問題を投げている現況である。

　今回我々は耳鼻咽喉科領域の各種感染症にたいし，カナマイシンを使用する機会を得たのでその筋注後の血中濃度，抗菌作用及び治療効果等を検討して得られた成績について報告する。

Bacterial resistance has been established among various antibiotic that are in use to-day. The question of resistant staphylococci is highly problematical but kanamycin has been proved to be quite effective even to-wards such staphylococci. Blood concentrationof kanamycin appeared to be highest at lhr. after intramuscular injection of 1 g of the agent and even 8 hours after the injection the amount in the blood was found to be in a sufficient quanitity to be effective. The question of deafness that might be brought on by use of this drug is discussed with re-view of literature.
