萎縮性鼻炎の手術的療法の検討

　はじめに

　萎縮性鼻炎が難治である事は衆知の事実で，その原因に関しても諸説が挙げられ，従つて治療法にも種々あるが，根治的治療は未だ発見せられていない現況である。然し乍ら今日，本症治療の主体は手術的療法に置かれて居り，多くの手術法が考案報告されて来ている。著者等の1人大石も先に本誌上に久保（護躬）氏上顎下甲介法の1変法について報告したが，其の後も引続き同変法による症例を重ねると同時に，合成樹脂の鼻腔粘膜下挿入法，所謂Ramadier-Eysies法についても多数例に追試し，夫等症例の経過を観察，検討して来たが，萎縮性鼻炎の代表的手術法たる之等の2法にも批判すべき点が可なり存在する事実を知つた。茲にその一端を述べ大方の御批判と御教示を仰ぐ次第である。

　Of the two representative surgical methods conserned with treatment of atrophic rhinitis Kubo's method supported by clinical results appeared to be superior to that advocated by Ramadier-Eyrie. Kubo's method consists of extendings surgical intervention into maxillary sinus and inferior turbinals and that of Ramadier-Eyrie being injections of plastic material into submucousal tissues of the nasal cavity. However, the latter method has the advantage of being readily performen and fair clinical results are obtainable when injections of the plastic material are extended to other structures of the nasal cavity beyond the limitation of the cavity floor alone. The procedure may be combined with operations on the sinuses.
