緒言
咽頭口蓋癒着症は外国に於ては比較的多く報告されているが，本邦に於ては大正12年吉原氏が先天性梅毒による1例を報告して以来，昭和30年折田氏が咽頭口蓋癒着症の1例を報告する迄に，僅かに14例を見るのみである。
我々は適々，慢性副鼻腔炎の手術を希望して都南病院耳鼻科を訪れた27歳の男子に於て，恐らく咽頭部の高度の炎症後の瘢痕性治癒に起因すると考えられる咽頭口蓋癒着症のある事を発見したので，茲にその概要を報告し，併せて聊か文献的考察を試みる次第である。
AKAIKE and associates report a case of pa-latopharyngeal adhesion which was discovered during examination of the patient for diagno-sis of sinusitis. The author believe the cause of this adhesion to be the result of healing of inflammatory affection that the patient suffe-red some time in the past. Report of cases of similar nature in the literature of this cou-ntry is somewhat rare; other reports are dis-cussed.
