　上顎性粘液腺嚢腫とは，我國に於て始めて久保猪之吉教授（1920）によつて，上顎歯牙嚢腫に酷似して然もこれとは全く異なる嚢腫として，鼻腔粘膜の粘液腺潴溜にその成因を帰して報告せられた鼻前庭嚢腫の1種であるが，本症例もこれに屬するものと信ぜられるので茲に之を報告する。

OBATA reports a case of mucocele which appeared to be originating from the maxillay bone and was found situated in the nasal ala anteriorly to the pyriform fosssa. The size of the growth measured 2.8×2.3×2.2cms in dimensions; its contents were yellowish mucous. Microscopic examination showed the sac-wall to be composed of two layers of structures and the outer of which was that of connective tis-sues which were extensively infiltrated by round cells. The inner layer was made up of columnar epithelial cells lined singly or in groups. The part facing the maxilla showed areas of glazed degeneration and that of recent hemorrhage. Numerous mucous glands and their excretory ducts were also recognized.
