兩側交通せる前頭洞並に篩骨蜂窠「ピオツェーレ」の1例

　前頭洞竝に篩骨蜂窠「ピオツェーレ」は排泄口附近の中甲介の位置異常，鼻中隔彎曲及び結節，又は夫れら粘膜の肥厚腫脹，或は腫瘍等により排泄口が狭窄或は閉塞せられ瀦溜液の増加に伴ない周圍骨壁の擴大或は疎開せるために發來し，其の部位，成因，病理等に關しては既に幾多先人により考究されているが，兩側交通せる前頭洞竝に篩骨蜂窠「ピオツエーレ」に關しては比較的稀有なるものと考え茲に其の1例を報告する。

KAKU and TAKEDA report a case of pyocele of frontal sinus in whom the growth having destroyed intramural septum the two frontal sinuses and the ethmoids on one side were converted into a common single cavity. A woman aged 62 complained of swelling that involved the right cheek for a period of 1 year but for the last 1 month and a half this swelling became markedly pronounced. There was near the inner canthus of the right eye a fistulous opening that produced a continuous discharge of pus. The diagnosis was made with X-ray examination and confirmed by operation.
