外傷性前頭洞・篩骨洞ピオツェーレの1治験例

TRAUMATIC PYOCELE OF THE FRONTAL AND ETHMOID SINUSES

　Ⅰ．緒言

　副鼻腔嚢腫のうちでも前頭洞または篩骨洞に単独に発生した嚢腫は稀ではない。しかしその原因が外傷によるとされるものは比較的少なく，外傷性嚢腫のうちでも前頭洞篩骨洞が一洞に融合した報告例は一層稀である。また外傷性原因の内訳は前頭部の強打骨折によるものが大部分であるが，本例のように小枝の刺入により，前頭洞篩骨洞が融合してピオツェーレを起こした例は他に見られない。

　A woman, aged 63, complained of excessive lacrimation of the right eye and a palpebral swelling of the left. Her history revealed that the patient was accidently injured in the region of the right innercahthus by a stump of a small tree which pierced the root of the nose and reached the left frontal and ethmoidal sinuses.

　Examination revealed the presence of a pyocele in the two sinuses mentioned. The patient was operated upon with recovery.
