シユワルツマン現象に依ると思れた中耳炎の1例

　序言

　シユワルツマン理象に関する動物並に臨床的研究特にアレルギー学説の進歩に伴い此等領域に関する研究は急速の進歩を見ている事は周知の事実である。

　又吾々が中耳炎の治療中血性耳漏を見る事は屡々であるが此処に挙げる一中耳炎症例が或は其の成立上シユワルツマン現象が密接に関係していたのではないかと考えられるので報告し御批判を懇わんとするものである。

ICHIHARA states that Shwartzman's phe-nomenon appears to have been demonstated clinically to see a case of prolonged infection w-ith otitis media make an uneventful recovery after a tosillectomy. A farmer, aged 22, who was affected with chronic hypertrophic tonsilli-tis, suddenly became ill with an acute otitis media which began with sanguinous aural disc-harges and sore throat. In spite of immediate paracentesis tympani and treatment with sulfa drugs the otitis media persisted without abate-ment. Yet, when tonsillectomy was performed the otitis media subsided without further even-ts. It appeared that the tonsils had served as a focus of infection for the diplococcus with which the ear infection had occurred.
