所謂進行性壞疽性鼻炎剖検例（附統計的観察）

　緒言

　鼻及其周囲の軟部次いで骨部の進行性に犯される本態不明の疾患については1917年カウフマン以来，壞疽性肉芽腫（クラウス，スチユアート，スツルム，フオス，クノツプ，モーリツツ，俣野，藤田），原因不明の顏面壊疸（ヘンニング，ウイルト，，福武）馬鼻疸類似症（山川，大藤），進行性壊疽性鼻炎（遠山其他多数），特発性壊疽（田中），慢性進行性鼻壊疸（橋本，永井）等として発表されている．この中には立木教授の指摘される如く肉腫症も交つているが，本態不明なるの故に診断及び治療に惱まされる事が多く，予後不良な稀な疾患である．

　私も最近この1例を経験し剖検し得，且本邦文献に現われた例と自己例と合せ35例の統計的観察を試みたから，此処に其概要を報告しようと思う．

IWATA reports a case of progressive necrosis of the nose that began with a lesion in the region of the nasal root and that resisted all forms of treatment. The patient a man aged 42 giving his-tory of nasal troubles which consisted of malodo-rous discharges a month later developed necrotic ulcer of the nose. Eight months later the entire nose was involved and the right side of the face was hardened with edema and infiltration; fever chart took the form of septicemia type. The pati-ent soon became markedly prostrated with onset of meningeal symptoms and died in the loth month since the beginning of the disease.
