—佐藤教授開講二拾週年記念論文—腫瘍化（骨血管纎維腫）所見を呈せる篩骨蜂窠より発生せる血瘤腫の1例

　所謂血瘤腫は大正6年田所氏により初めて提唱された疾患名である．同氏は鼻閉，鼻出血顏面膨隆等の一見惡性腫瘍に酷似する臨床症状を呈せる3例に就いて手術を行い血瘤なるを認め且又該腫瘍の肉眼的及病理組織学的観察によつて上顎洞に発生した鼻茸内に出血を來し血瘤を形成するに至つたものとし之を上顎洞血瘤腫と命名したのである．

　以來血瘤腫に関する報告ば簇出し上顎洞のみならず鼻腔篩骨蜂窠にも発生する事が知られるに至つた．

Nagoshi reports a case of ethmoidal hematoma found in a boy 18 years of age, the size of which measured as large as an adult fist at the time of its removal. The period of its duration since the onset was 5 years. Outward nasal contour is found extremely distorted medially towards the septum, and laterally towards the nasal bone from accumulation of pressure as the mass gradually enlarged. No space remai-ned for nasal breathing. Epistaxis, exopthalmos and persistent headaches were considered as ma-nifestations of pressure effects on surrounding tissues. Microscopical examination reported the tumor as a hematoma but, the presence of a feature in part of this mass which resembled that of a fibroma calls the author's particular attention and interest
