Rhinopathia vasomotorica S. nervosa，Rhinitis vasomotorica或はNasenallergieと呼ばれて．水樣性鼻汁，嚔痙攣，鼻閉塞お主徴とする本疾患は藤沢氏の詳細な研究に依ると，その77％の割合で同時にAsthma bronchialeお併発するものであり，爲に俗間所謂鼻の喘息といわれている．從來本疾患の病因は所謂アレルギー説を以て説明している．即ち抗原（花粉，動物蛋白，綿等）が局所粘膜に到着するや毛細管系に発作性の透過性増加が起り，Transsudatの爲漿液性浸潤をおこすもので，この際二次的因子として種々氣象学的要素が関與するといわれている．
然し乍ら必ずしもアレルギー説丈では本疾患の説明の出來ない場合もある．
According to Handa successful cures in the treatment of allergic rhinitis are achieved with intravenous injections of alcohol. Sterile aqueous solution of 15 % chemically kure ethyl-alcohol is prepared as the therapeutic agent. The volume of each dose is 20 cc, which might be repeated on successive days as the case may require. All symptoms of allergic rhinitis, however, subsided when 1 to 3 intravenous injections were given on consecutive days.
